Arturo Carlo Quintavalle is an art historian among the most important in Italy and abroad. His studies and research subjects ranging from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, was the founder and first director of the Center for Communication Studies and Archives, University of Parma, where he taught for many years as a full professor.
